How To Complete The Glide Path Side Quests In Zelda Echoes Of Wisdom
Some side quests in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom are easy to complete, while others might take you a few tries to master. One of these latter quests is called Glide Path, which requires some precision gliding and a lot of patience.
This side quest, and its immediate successor, can technically be completed from the very beginning of the game, however you may have a hard time making your way to the quest location. If the quest is not completed before you begin the “Lands of the Goddesses” main quest, it will become locked until you’ve completed the “Rift on Eldin Volcano” segment of that quest.

To begin this quest, warp to the waypoint at Goron City and then head east until you find the Goron child named Seko. Upon talking to him, he’ll tell you that his brother has let him down and he needs someone to show him how to complete the gliding course. Of course, it’s up to us to show him how it’s done.
Completing this course is easy enough, and there isn’t a time limit that you need to adhere to. The only rule is that you need to make it to the finish flag without touching the ground, or you need to start all over again.
Summon your favored gliding Echo (such as Needlefly, Mothula, or Zirro), run off the cliff, and immediately head to the west. Along the wall, there are multiple enemies, but don’t worry too much about them. All you need to do is make sure you glide through each of the plumes en route to the flag.
If you fall, or touch the ground at any point, you automatically be taken back to the beginning of the trail to try again. Once you’ve completed the trail and reached the flag, Seko will reward you with 10 Rock Salt, and you’ll unlock the second of the Glide Path quests.

Once you’ve completed Glide Path, you’ll be returned to your starting position at the top of the cliff and Seko will have another quest for you to pick up. The next quest, Glide Path Trailblazer, is much the same as the first but made more difficult by the layout of plumes and increased number of enemies to be avoided.
This time, you’ll be challenged by Seku’s brother, Desian, who wants you to complete a course that he’s designed himself after three years of gliding. Select “Let’s do it!” and then get ready to glide again.
Again, summon your favored gliding Echo (or Automaton, if you have the Goldfinch at your disposal), and pick it up before jumping off the cliff and heading west. The trick for this course is to avoid the wall at all costs, instead using the plumes which give you some distance from the falling rocks and red-hot smoke which will send you tumbling down to the ground.
You’ll need to make sure that you get your timing right to avoid the red-hot smoke that’s being spewed from holes in the wall, but glide between two closeby plumes to keep yourself in the air.
For completing the “Death Road of Pain”, as Desian has dubbed the course, you’ll get two Might Crystals that can be used to upgrade your energy or Mighty weapons at Lueberry’s house. You’ll also be able to take on both courses again at any time by talking to Seku in his original spot on top of the cliff.
