It’s time to expand your factory into the stars with the release of the Factorio: Space Age expansion. Even though the expansion adds a ton of new content, it does break most of the existing mods that have been developed over the years. Thankfully, we’ve found a few ways how to get Infinite Resources in Factorio Space Age if you prefer to play without such a setting.

Exploring the Infinite Resource Mods

The easiest way to truly get Infinite Resources in Factorio: Space Age is through the use of mods. While most of the previous mods for vanilla Factorio no longer work, there are a few new ones that have been released that already work with the Factorio Space Age expansion. Here are the three mods that currently work with the Factorio 2.0 update to enable infinite resources:

The first two mods make ore deposits infinite, ensuring that oil yields always remain at their originally shown rate. The third mod automatically refills depleted resource nodes, providing a seamless gameplay experience.

To install and activate the mod of your choosing, simply launch Factorio Space Age then click the Mods button, navigate to the Explore tab, and click the magnifying glass in the top right. Search for the desired mod, click on it, then click install and confirm. This will load Factorio Space Age with your selected mod, granting you infinite resources!

Alternative Methods for Infinite Resources Without Mods

If you’re not interested in installing mods to get Infinite Resources, there are still ways to achieve similar results in the base game. One effective method is to increase the amount of resources available when starting a new game. When creating a new game file, the first tab is labeled Resources, displaying each resource with options for Frequency, Size, and Richness.

Adjusting the frequency increases how often that specific resource spawns ore vein patches. The size adjustment affects the height and width of each of these patches, while the richness setting increases the volume of each resource node. If you maximize all three sliders, you’ll have plenty of resources across the map—close to infinite, but not quite!

Utilizing Space Platforms for Resource Collection

Another strategy for infinite resources involves progressing in Factorio Space Age to the point where you can build your own space platforms. These platforms allow you to break apart and collect asteroids, converting them into essential materials. This method effectively provides a continuous resource supply, as the asteroids will keep spawning.
